My favorite and most rewarding moment during learning is the aha moment, when the penny drops. I love the bright eyes and I am so proud of them and incredibly happy to observe how the confidence level grows.
I always wait for the understanding to arise as otherwise knowing and applying the knowledge is not possible.
I have lots of experience about these moments but I have never seen something like the reaction of he as she was so happy, just jumped up and said - "woo it is so easy, let s do more, let's do more"!
So when I thought that we finished, almost at the end of the lesson we continued working with addition! Obviously I wanted to maintain and strengthen the experience so the seed of the love of learning is deepened!
